Thank you to all the VBS Helpers for this year! Through incredible teamwork we were able to serve almost 50 children at VBS this year! We had an excellent week of learning that Heroes are called to be more like Jesus! I’d like to thank our congregation for their generosity and support of the VBS program each year! We were able to go the extra mile this year by providing each child a Hero Hotline drawstring bag, and Hero Hotline Keychain with our Hotline Memory Verse! The children now each have a reminder of all they learned at Hero Hotline VBS!
This past year I had the honor of serving on the review panel for the publisher of our VBS Program. I’ve been absolutely BURSTING at the seams to tell you what we’ve been working on. I think 2024 is going to be our best year yet!
In 2024 our children will embark on another fun adventure at Camp Firelight VBS – A Summer Camp Adventure with God! The program will run June 17-21, 2024. The program centers around our Camp Callout Verse: “Whenever I’m afraid, I put my trust in You. – Psalm 56:3.
Campers will learn from our daily Firelight Focus:
Day 1: Trust God to Go with Us!
Day 2: Trust God to Lead the Way!
Day 3: Trust God to Share Wisdom!
Day 4: Trust God to Give Us Peace!
Day 5: Trust God to Spark Joy!
In order to create an impressive wooded atmosphere for Camp Firelight VBS I am looking for donations of artificial Christmas Trees of all sizes (if the tree is pre-lit it does NOT need to work! we’ll take
it!), camping items, lanterns, maybe even a canoe too! When you clean out the garage, basement, or attic, think of our VBS before throwing them away!
